As I have for the last several years, I want to take some time this morning, on this day of our church’s Annual Meeting, to reflect on who we are and where we’re led. I could do this as an organizational kind of talk, and mention specific programs or endeavors that I think would be productive to take on. Instead, though, as is appropriate in a church, I’m going to offer theological reflections on who we are as a people, and on the ways I see God present in our life together. And I’m going to structure the sermon on three tasks it seems to me we have as a church: grieving, believing, and perceiving.
