CHILLOUT MUSIC -The Documentary .Alexis Petridis tells the story of chillout and ambient music from Bach, through Brian Eno, Air and beyond. First broadcast in 2003 on BBC Radio 6 Music.

Chill-out music emerged in the early and mid-1990s in "chill rooms" at dance clubs, where relaxing music was played to allow dancers a chance to "chill out" from the more emphatic and fast-tempo music played on the main dance floor. This is the story of how it happened ,featuring esclusive interviews by David Toop ,Brian Eno, Matt Black (Coldcut), Mixmaster Morris,Dr.Alex Patterson (The Orb),Rob the Bank, Aphex Twin,Royskopp,Moby,Sam Ball (Sony Records),Dave Henderson(Advertising Agency),Charlie Moore(BBC),Pete Lawrence(Big Chill),Zero 7,Danny Eccleston(Music Journalist) and the music that set the journey.
