Panta Rhei 005 features excellent music from Shpongle, The Flashbulb, M83, Animal Collective and Nashville based band, Hammock.
Complementing the intricate piano work we will hear by The Flashbulb, I’ve included an incredible live performance from German-based artist, Nils Frahm…the modern classical track “Hammers.”
The mix continues to unfold in kaleidoscopic fashion…with gorgeous work from Trentmoller and London based artist, Moon Ate the Dark. Moon Ate the Dark is the project of Welsh pianist Anna Rose Carter and Canadian producer Christopher Bailey. Their track “Messy Hearts” is a delicate representation of their sound, which they describe as a soundtrack to longing, memory and displacement. Their sounds revolve around a delicate, solo piano with reverberating treatments.
Pulling us from the realm of beautiful piano pieces, we lead into the final act of the episode with powerful tracks from Steiger, Active Child, Atlas Sound and Alvvays.
