What do you suppose was going on when Jesus commanded the disciples to not tell anyone that he was the Messiah? Certainly, he was being neither duplicitous nor manipulative. So, what was that all about? One of the factors this installment of 3 Guys explores, from both sides, is the idea of God's timing. The other side of that, of course, is the extent to which the enemy seeks to disrupt that timing. Along with that consideration, we also consider what it means to live a non-intuitive kind of lifestyle. To live intuitively suggests we live in ways that seem right to us or make sense to us. Yet, much of what's called for in our journey of faith is to live a non-intuitive lifestyle. If, as we learn in Pro 3, we trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, then that's a non-intuitive lifestyle. If, as we are encouraged in Ps 37 we delight ourselves in the Lord and discover that he is giving us the desires of our hearts, then, that' non-intuitive also.
