Theirs was a forbidden love that found itself plastered over the tabloids and played out in the courtroom. Oscar Wilde was a 37-year-old flamboyant and famous author of the Picture of Dorian Gray. Alfred Douglas was 21-year-old spoiled son of a lord. Their relationship was unconventional for their era and the cause of much drama. It just goes to show you what happens to young love when a parent forbids it. Works Cited"Constance: The Tragic And Scandalous Life of Mrs Oscar Wilde by Franny Moyle – Review." The Guardian.
