Josephine and Napoleon
It is common to think of Napoleon Bonaparte as a passionate lover. After all, a man so skilled on the battlefield should surely be fluent in the language of love. The prowess Napoleon exhibited on the political stage did not translate to the bedroom. In fact, more surprising than his domination of most of Western Europe was Napoleon’s successful marriage to Josephine Beauharnais, a graceful, kind-hearted woman who was his opposite in every way.
