It all started with dub and reggae in the 80's when his Grandfather would let those choice records ride at family gatherings. Fascinated with the way the bass lines roll and the rhythms run on forever, Riddim was hooked. His first mix tapes in early 90s were of synthesized bands and disco building his knowledge on electronic music. He tagged along with some friends to his first rave during the turn of the millennium, he spent most of his time in side rooms where the Dark Jungle lived.
Riddim is completely self-taught, not having even the benefit of observing or consulting other DJs until the open decks portion of his career in 2001. You can expect to hear dub, reggae, funk, jazz, hip hop and the 80s era. Riddim's DJ style has been said to be versatile from his crowd crushing double-drops to beautiful mixes and blends.
Having two releases now on In Da Jungle Recordings out of Montreal, ClearPaths is in the studio working on some mash-ups and remixes.
