Russ Dewbury’s ‘Jazz Rooms’ in Brighton ran for more than two decades. Described by Straight No Chaser magazine as “the longest running night on planet earth”, the club was a haven for fans of rare funk, afro-beat, dance-floor jazz, latin/brasilian music and the best new underground tunes from around the globe. Those on the decks included Gilles Peterson, Kevin Beadle, Rainer Truby, Russ himself, and Ricardo Severe.
