Welcome to **walkplacedistancetime**
My exploration of embodied movement, walking, movement in place, in air, distance through time.
Today’s episode is ***Callanais: A Walk in Five Circles***.
The Callanais Stones are a group of late-neolithic stone circles above East Loch Roag on the western shore of the isle of Lewis, an important site of ceremonial activity over a span of 1500 years. In September 2015 I lace together five of the circles in a four and a quarter mile observance walk; four steps, from the smallest, a set of fallen stones, to the largest, a complex arrangement of circles and avenues.
