1. Let's make moves Shaheena! Okay so one of the things I am always thinking about is how the role of education, academic education specially for first generation children of immigrants and how it can often be this burden and gift ... Do you know what I mean?

Like for our parents, my parents, it was and still is EVERYTHING. It trumps everything else and many times to a fault - this idea and internal action of happiness is different for them than it can be for us. Our wants and needs are not always in alignment with what is deemed by many immigrant parents as the key to all success... Academic education.

What do you think? Do you experience this?

Is there a healthy dialogue for us to have with our parents and still fulfill and live to serve our truest selves?

2. In speaking about academic education, I believe that there are many, many types of education and I attribute that knowledge, (knowing there is a spectrum) to a professor at the university. I remember
