I've known Portia for quite some time now - almost a decade. We grew up quite close and I guess looking back, Portia, it may have been a bond that was partly in survival! We both went to a predominantly white school, a very well off educational system. Although now as adults we can perhaps look back into the seemly obvious problems of the public school system.
But nonetheless, I want to delve into today's episode of redefining revolutions and kind of discuss religion, race and gender (enormous topics of identity, hierarchy and more) but as it relates to childhood and the shaping of one's identity when we are young and the stories that we tell ourselves when we are young about these woven identities and how the story pans out when we are adults.
