This week's show began with a sensitive and difficult topic: addiction and suicide. Tragically, too many surrender to the diseases of depression and substance use/abuse and end their lives. This is not because they want to die, but rather because oftentimes they lack information, support, or services needed to help combat these diseases. Together with a panel of experts, hosts Brad Gray and Jeanine Bitzan discussed how we can be the parts of Christ's body lifting up the hurting parts, by providing hope and help to those living in this darkness.
Panel experts included: Dr. James Link, a Psychologist in the Bismarck Diocese; Jim Kinyon, the Executive Director of Catholic Social Services in Rapid City; Jeff Bates, a Licensed Professional Counselor at Vita Counseling; and Fr. Joe Barrett of the Diocese of Fargo, the Chaplain of the State Hospital in North Dakota
