We’ve all been hurt before, haven’t we? People have done things to us that have just not set well with us. But it doesn’t seem more hurtful when family member OR person in the body of Christ hurts us? Since the beginning of history, people in our families—for better or worse, directly or indirectly have caused pain. Sometimes these pains cause us to have deep wounds.
The aim of this sermon is to help observe the actions of Jacob and Joseph as they take different approaches to dealing with their deepest wounds—caused by their family.
Although they’ve been dealing with the pain for years, Genesis 43-44 are the chapters where their frustrations come to a climax... And they are both on a collision course for a family reunion fit for primetime BET special.
And why? Because God is helping them to deal with their fears, doubts, pains and hurts in the best way He knows how—in his sovereign timing for His plan and glory.
