Markur and Rhodes have been delivering their trademark crunchy psych techno on several releases for London labels Living and Dissident as well as Pilooski’s D.I.R.T.Y., turning the heads of glitterball grandees such as Trevor Jackson, Gerd Janson and DFA’s Justin Miller. Their track “No Fear” even got picked up by Friendly Fires for their Essential Mix in 2009, and caught the attention of a worldwide audience. With two sizzling remixes out for Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir, their soon-to-be-launched label One Eyed Jacks and a weekly show on Rádio Oxigénio that regularly joins the dots between early UK hardcore and the latest in future garage and twisted disco, the future looks even brighter for these two Lisbon music lovers. Here's their pulse-pinching set from Sónar Festival 2010, featuring jams from Shake, Mosca, Romanthony, FunkinEven and Claro Intelecto, along with their own productions. Whatever it takes to get those photons firing: Markur and Rhodes always set their faders to stun.
