Playing tracks by
Iron Butterfly, If, Jeff Beck Group, Joy Of Cooking, Love Craft (feat. Lalomie Washburn) and more.
Another interesting and somewhat moody set from the Seventies originally produced in 1979 on the Teac 3340. Included are some classic rock cuts from Three Dog Night, Linda Ronstadt, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Poco, and Pink Floyd. Also, some progressive rock and hard-to-find “deep cuts” from Iron Butterfly, If, Jeff Beck Group, Joy of Cooking, Love Craft (featuring Lalomie Washburn), Eloy, and Pousette-Dart Band. Also included in this set is a very complex and kind of creepy song from Harry Chapin’s 1972 “Sniper and Other Love Songs” album. It’s a ten minute song that tells a chilling, yet revealing tale about a “clock-tower” sniper. While Harry Chapin’s storytelling abilities sometimes went toward the “pop” side, songs like “Taxi” and “Sniper” show his creative storytelling side. The songs surrounding “Sniper” showcase the mood of that portion of the set. I hope you enjoy the ride.
