This program is the part 2 of my Thursday afternoon theme based show of evergreen Hindi songs which deals with the word of the day.
The word after the autumnal equinox 2012 was Khizaan which is the urdu word for autumn or fall . Words such as Khizaan were used by shayers and song writers of the bygone era who were proficient in Hindi and Urdu both thus used flowery words in their creations. The singers took extra care in learning the guttural nuances of the language ( Urdu) and thus the most beautiful songs came into existence which to this day sound as sweet and sonorous as they were when created thirty, forty or fifty years ago.
This way beautiful words could come into the life of a common man listening to melodious popular music of Hindi films.
