The Show on Ontario is scheduled for 26 October but we do need more surnames so if you can get the word out and ask people to email [email protected] that would be great

Hello Lorna, I received an message about your series. What I did receive was a notification that the next episode will be about on Irish who emigrated to Ontario Canada. So here is my request, please. My (gggg) grandda James Ellison settled in Tottenham ON. We have been able to trace him back to approx. 1821 re: a character reference signed by a Reverend Hugh Wood. We visited the First Presbyterian Church in Bangor County Down hoping to advance our search, however we came to a dead end. Not to be dissappointed we have found a record of a James Ellison who was released from the Foot Soldiers around the same time our James settled in ( abt.1821) Canada. We believe that it is he is our James. The release states that this James was from Rasharkin, Ballymena, Antrim. I can send copies of the Character reference and the Military record, should you require. Most appreciated>
