This week, Nancy goes back to the future with Tampa entrepreneur/philanthropist, Richard Gonzmart.
Richard isn't just the heart and soul of Ybor City's Columbia Restaurant, the oldest Spanish restaurant in the country. He and his group have relaunched the iconic Goody Goody restaurant in Tampa.
Generations of Tampanians, including Gonzmart, grew up on Goody Goody burgers and fries dating back to 1925 until 2005 when it closed it's doors for good. Since then, Gonzmart has planned and schemed the resurrection of the Goody Goody.
After eleven years of mastering the original flavors and recipes, the new Goody Goody, which has a lot of the old memorabilia from the original incarnation, opens it's doors to the public August 23rd at their new location in Old Hyde Park.
Nancy and Richard discuss the rich history of Goody Goody, his family's lineage in the Tampa Bay area, the Columbia Restaurant, and what the future might hold as they kick it old school this week.
