Just like the metaphors of lions, bears are also used to describe attributes of human and YHVH's character. The bear illustrates the Father in heaven’s extremes in his nature. Fiercely loyal and protective while also the pinnacle of wrath and aggression. Few animals strike fear into the hearts of human beings like the bear does. Bears are ferocious beings but also extremely affectionate to their families and communities. They mentor one another and will adopt and care for young that are not their own. They are relational animals. In this teaching Cole goes into the illustrations of the bear in Scripture and discovers that just like many are called to be lions, some are called to be bears.
