Today on the Country Hour: E10 OK-or not? The state government is promoting the use of E10 ethanol blended fuel and have set quotas for sales, service stations are offering discounts, but it seems that the public is divided on the merits, cost and concerned about the availability of the fuel; Queensland topped the list in gross value of agricultural output in the 2105-16 Ag Census, $13.2 billion or 24 per cent of the total of $56 billion, with the value of cattle production the key; against a situation of escalating electricity costs, opposition leader Tim Nicholls today has released the LNP's agriculture and energy policy, which includes the creation of an Agriculture Energy and Water Council; Aussie helpers lends a helping hand in the form of $100,000 to VISE, the struggling volunteer teacher assistance program for rural and remote students; and despite a reduced gunger harvest, the industry says demand for processed and fresh ginger keeps growing.
