"Blorch-The Life and Times of Harold S. Horney"

"Blorch-The Life and Times of Harold S. Horney"

Playing tracks by

The Soft Machine.

This story was a daydream realized during an LSD trip. The second part was added to fulfill a Literary tribute to one of my favorite authors-Kurt Vonnegut for college back in 1977. The first part is me playing sax and keyboard and singing. And of course I am the voice of the narrative. There are samples from the "Wizard of OZ" and more than that, the hazy quality of it resembles the black and white opening of the film and then it's striking change to color when Dorothy opens the door into the land of OZ! At this point the backing soundtrack is from a sample collage; the earlier version of my "Samphony" listed in my playlist here on Mixcloud. The story deals with Harold and his journey through an incredible life. Back in those days the decaying atmosphere was on people's minds thanks to the miraculous aerosol spray can. (who could possibly live without their hairspray and body deodorant and all the time this unusual new gadget saved us!!! LOL). And aliens of course. And politics, too!!!
