Im back in Ecuador & was asked by a local entrepreneur to play an NYE beach party. I was never going to say no, but it helped that the beach in question is right outside my front door J
The plan was, I would play from midnight through to dawn at 6am, however, the beach was also full of private firework displays & the noise was incredible, so we waited for about 30mins for them to finish before we got under way.
The set runs for about 5 1/2 hrs, so we’ve split it into two & as its NYE, there are a lot of crowd pleasers & I would expect most of you to know most tracks. The thing is, everyone I spoke to here, had never heard any of the tracks I played, but it didn’t seem to dampen their enthusiasm for more “cool new music”.
So we start fairly gently & take around 30mins to ease our way into things. The energy goes up from there, with few chances to catch ones breath & by hour 4 its positively throbbing – yes the lines of what may be considered Soulful House become a litt
