This in depth radio documentary has been produced by Volunteers of British Council and VSO's Global Xchange programme in coordination with Ulfah Arts &Media and Equal Access. The young people from Yemen spent three months in UK and three months in Yemen volunteering on community focused projects . During their volunteer placements in Yemen they produced this documentary to explore an important issue, often overlooked by mainstream media in Yemen. This documentary highlights the importance of clearing misconceptions about the disease in Yemeni society. Global Xchange has been operating as a successful youth programme for 5 years, and has now been enhanced to offer a range of new opportunities for volunteers under the Government’s new International Citizen Service scheme which will run as a one year pilot.
