About the show

Playing tracks by

Sound of the Sirens, King of Cats, Holiday Ghosts, Chris Sargeant, Sadie Horler and more.

In December’s Culture & Review on Phonic FM, Josie continues our Cultural Producers strand with Val Wilson, Arts & Events Manager at Exeter City Council. In the second half of the programme Josie is joined in the studio by Chris Sergeant, who performs an extended electronic improvisation in conjunction with this year’s Exeter Phoenix Artist’s Moving Image Commission by Ben Tupper. There’s an interview with Ben and Chris, which melts into Chris’s sounds. Also this month: guest reviewer Alison Savic casts an eye over a selection of 19th century woodcuts by Utagawa Hiroshige, on show at Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum; and a report from Art SOUP – the crowdfunding event for Art Week Exeter projects.

Music comes from Sound of the Sirens; Sadie Horler; King of Cats; Poledo and Holiday Ghosts.
