About the show

Playing tracks by

Bangers, Figs in Wigs, Freschard and The Black Tambourines.

In a special programme, Josie Sutcliffe meets some of the people immersed in Exeter's culture of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship – including:
• Simon Belshaw and Ian Woodbridge from FabLab Devon, with excerpts from their Music Machines and Music Hack Day events
• Rob Glover, co-organiser of the regular Digital Exeter and Exeter Web meet-ups
• Jim Strong from The Generator, a co-work space in Exeter city centre

We also have the first in a series of conversations with Exeter's leading cultural producers – starting with David Lockwood, co-founder and director of the Bike Shed Theatre. Plus, a word from Spacex where artist Rosalie Schweiker is about to embark on a six week residency, imagining 'ideas for a new art institution'.

First broadcast 7:15pm, 8 August 2015 on Phonic FM.
