A collection of some very rare early tracks, mixes and favourites - with some facts thrown in for free. A collection of fantastic music from 1967 onwards, all linked together by me!

Absolutely splendid programme, really interesting and a great selection of music, many thanks. I'm a huge fan of his earlier material - Equinoxe was one of the first records I bought, a Jarre CD collection was the first CD I bought (£70 in 1988!) and my wife and I led the dancing at our wedding to Souvenir of China.

Thanks for taking the time to comment - glad you enjoyed it. I'm a big fan myself and learned a lot making the show.

I am quite sure the track "POPCORN" was done by HOT BUTTER
( I have not known Jean Michel Jarre to even "cover" this track ),
One of those tracks that pops up on a "Rarities" unofficial compilation album
from those labelled "Rarities 1" , "Rarities 2" and "Rarities 3"
that you can often find on EBAY!! So whoever originally put those compilations together is having a laugh I'm sure!!

Flip Martian

No, its quite genuine - Popcorn was done by Hot Butter. Jarre's was a cover version - its the cover version in this show. I did quite a bit of research online and it does indeed appear to be quite genuine. Although some of the tracks on those rarities albums are nothing to do with Jarre at all, that's very true! Thanks for listening.

WUH-OW THAT ZOOLOOKOLOGIE REMIX. Wonderful.

Ker-IKEY. Where HAVE you found all these treats? It's mising things I simply dreamt about finding when I was fourteen. Turns out I knew nothing of my first musical hero. And my oh my do those ballad versions of the Rendezvous tunes sound oddly stronger as chanteur cabaret pieces. A very nicely curated curiosity show for the fans, thanks, Flip.

Flip Martian

Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for letting me know :)

This rare Equinoxe IV remix is just brill. Very cool in its faintly rougher vibe. Fab find, Flip.
