Playing tracks by

Sonny Rollins & The Modern Jazz Quartet, John Coltrane & Milt Jackson, Stefon Harris, Bobby Hutcherson & Harold Land Sextet , Robert Glasper Experiment feat. Stephon Harris and more.

One or two of you (Detlev and others) have mentioned that I'm not playing enough vibes tracks. So tonight as promised I'm gonna set the record straight and give you some of the past and present masters of the vibes.

Very good. Hoped that you could have started with the father of them all. Lionel Hampton

And, if I may add, epic finale!

Good one! It definitely makes up for the lack of vibraphonists in the A to Z mix. I am still sticking to my guns about Lionel Hampton, though. Keep up the great work and delight us with the wonderful music! Cheers!

Hi FA&S - I see that you did indeed fav the show. What ddid you think about the 2nd half of tthe show and the By Bobby Hutcherson & Harold Land Sextet track?

40 acres to swing

Hi Hedonist; thanks again for sharing this great selection. I can't imagine a best of ending the set, and I can't imagine a best of starting. I love the whole set: it goes from a bluesy feeling to a positive mood, and the second half of the show mixes perfect with the first: it's like a trip. 'The Creators' is my fav track: it has blues, it has jazz, and that broken percusion breaks the tension in this heavy track. I love the regular track in the album, but music is always better on a stage. And as usual, you always take the best Glasper for each moment.
