Playing tracks by
Alice Coltrane & Pharoah Sanders, Moodymann, George Duke, Ronnie foster, Ghostpoet and more.
This is the closest that I can get to my own musical improvisation.
I started out being really sensible with an Alice Coltrane & Pharoah Sanders track. Then it struck me that a new track which I'd heard from Moodymann would compliment it well. I was checking my Twitter feed and I noticed that good old Gilles had chosen the George Duke track as his track of the day, which put me in the mood for the Ronnie Foster track, which reminded me that Ghostpoet used the same track on his "The Sound of Strangers - EP". I then felt an overwhelming desire to hear my favourite Peven Everett track. which put me in the mood for a bit of a samba. Then I was completely out of it and put on a whacky Sun Ra does Batman track. It was back to earth (slightly) for an unusual slice of "Watermelon Man" before wrapping things up with Dianne Reeves.
.... and that's improvisation during changing moods
Enjoy ........ and please, please, please, let me know what you think!
