Peacemaker Circles July 18 2012by Beloved Community
Come join in circle with us in our conversation with other professional peacemakers.
I've just joined your circle and am delighted with jean's talk. I'm padling up stream as a Nun/Hermitess/Missionary to Africa and back again. When I went to the Tekakwitha Conference in Washington we were given small paddles as a give away as we left the beautiful Long House built on the reservation for 1600 people and the salmon feast. Going to Africa was my first impossible and building a Monastery that 30 African Sisters now live in.Coming home was the second and I have still not adapted back. Presently trying to finish a Vision Quest Retreat in Big Sur with Fort Hunter Liggett Army base next door landed me in jail and banned for three years and it is still an impossible as our dear country will not disarm and thinks it needs to be the Strong Arm of the world. So my prayer in this circle is that we may become a land of peace after the vision of the Great Peacemaker. Ironically, the Dominican priest who introduced me to Africa - stuttered!Blessings
