As a die-hard hip-hop head, I can tell you that Fat Joe is most definitely a part of Hip-Hop’s DNA. Joseph Cartagena made a whole bunch of boom bap bangers and his “Don Cartagena” album… son …it’s a classic! So forget what you (think you) know and listen to this tape.

Also, by naming this mix “The Fattest Joe” I mean no disrespect to the post-2010 lightweight version of Joe. I wanna salute him on the health efforts, after the loss of Notorious BIG and Big Pun, the last thing we need is another big man gone. It’s just that most of my favorites were made by the 180 kg/400 pound Joey Crack.
