Playing tracks by
Die & Interface, 2vibe & eps, Asylum, DJ Sly, Sub Focus, Chase & Status and more.
When I decided to do this, I thought, you know, they want something 'perfect'. Perfect mixes, song choices etc... I was expecting to turn on my equipment and spend hours pondering over track selection and practicing mixes. After about 5 minutes I thought 'fuck it'. I play spontaneously, always. Planning mixes is not something I've ever done well, it takes away the creativity I believe I have in me. Let the music take me where it will. I hit record, closed my eyes and went on a journey. The mixes aren't all perfect. I played like I would if I was playing out. No-one hits a perfect set, and no-one in the crowd cares if a mix is out for a fraction of a second. The bass, the rhythm, all those things that make D&B what it is are what keep people dancing. I know this from first hand experience. Put too much thought into it, and you stop people dancing. This is me, getting totally carried away by the bass, the cuts and the beats. Turn it up, loud, and most importantly, enjoy!
