The Soul Preacher

Hello Ruben. Firstly it's a very nice idea showing all the covers on your FB page. I forgot to thank for one link you've sent. I'm kind of slow on FB and only have an account for our concert series that thankfully run by itself. And I only log in once in a month if not less. I have three of the albums you have picked for this mix and I'm always stunned what else you are finding. I think it never would have come to my mind buying that "Love Unlimited Orchestra" LP. It looks so cheap and it's so nice that the music really proves me wrong. I enjoyed their track in particular. Also I like that you combine classics with rather unknown music. It all merges beautifully. I remember seeing Johnny "Guitar" Watson live in Berlin around 1988. Shortly after a Wilson Pickett show. Johhny was such a funny guy. By the way he started in the 50s with some very well produced R&B stuff. Also some Jazz classics like "Misty" or "Witchcraft" he recorded as piano and soprano sax player! He's so funny with the lyrics in the 70s and I really dig this guy. Keep spinning that sound and happy weekend!
