This is an off the cuff bonus episode. Think of it like a monster-of-the-week episode from the X-Files; cool, but not part of the larger overall story arc.
Planned Brotherhood was the first podcast I ever really got into. It was just so weird, and so unrehearsed, and so subtle. I absolutely loved it. They stopped a few years ago, which made me sad, but what is much more sad is that recently, PJ Ahlers, one of the co-hosts, was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and given 2-3 years to live, with treatment. What the fuck, right? Guy is 32, has a family, and doesn't have time or patience for this shit.
So his family have started a fundraiser to help offset the costs of his treatment bills, living expenses since he can't very well work a bartending job after a round of chemo, and all the other insane costs that come with living in a country where medical care is treated as a privilege and not a basic human right. The most important thing in beating cancer is keeping stress low and keepin
