Taxes are a touchy subject for most. In theory, we all shoulder a share of burden by parting with a few of our hard-earned dollars, to collectively enjoy government services. Typically, those of us who work hard bite a thumb at the freeloaders around us who want to get away with not paying their fair share. But where do your Income Taxes actually go? According to the Grace Commission report of the 1980's: "100% of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the federal debt, and by federal govt contributions to transfer payments. In other words all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services taxpayers expect from government." IRS spokesmen stand behind 16th amendment as their prerogative to fleece the populace, however, the Supreme Court has ruled many times that the 16th Amendment conferred no new powers of taxation.
