After a year it seemed time to follow up on the condescending "Mansplaining" series. This patronising episode touches down on where the drum & bass world has got to since Rob Swire from Pendu- sorry, Knife Party, publically denounced it in favour of US EDM/coke & hookers.
If you were a closet bass purist back in the golden era of wub-drops then you might have buried your head in the sand around 2011 when artists along the lines of Pendulum & Sub Focus started to fade from the foreground, and labels like MTA moved away from focusing on purely dubstep & dnb (heretic sellouts) and started accommodating less shamelessly unfashionable music.
Some producers however got smart and evolved with the times, and the genre is now host to some of the most internationally regarded audio engineers whose production portfolios stretch to mainstream film and games.
