Viking/Pagan Ambience Music
Blòt - which takes its name from pagan sacrifice that was made by the peoples of Northern Europe to the Scandinavian Gods - It's a musical project founded by two italian multi instrumentalist, Orlando Li Mandri (Elettronic, Strings, Percussion, Voice) and Leonardo Sorrentino(Didgeridoo, Strings, Sing)who try to create experimental soundscapes.
For this project, which combines electronic music and native musical instruments, such as percussion in bone, wood, shells, body instruments as voices and throat singing, but also tools such as frame drums and didgeridoo, to try to create an epic ambience, dark, penetrating, a sounds from the northen european iron age and viking period.
The word "Blòt" is derived from "bless" and comes from the word "blood", an important component in the rituals.
