Media is an array of platforms for messages to be distributed - both good and bad (and sometimes odd). We need to be intentional about how we let media influence us and our marriages.
When we tune out of reality and tune our minds into mass-media, we are taking in thoughts about what marriage is supposed to be like. How arguments are supposed to resolve. How sexual intimacy should look like. And even on reality TV shows, this is not only not reality, but also a long cry from what marriage was designed to be.
What is being broadcast and popular today is getting further and further from it’s design. We see relationships (and often not even marriages) that are promiscuous, flirty, non-exclusive, easy or dysfunctional. This highlights the gap that exists
