About the show
Playing tracks by
Robert Hood, Replika, San Soda, Alexander Purkart, Mark Ambrose, Nacho Marco, Raoul Lambert and more.
Never thought I’d find myself playing Robert Hood on In Deep, but the show this week built up to a Detroit/Los Hermanos finish and “Still Hear” rounds things off very nicely. There’s new music from Nacho Marco, The Timewriter, San Soda (aka FCL), John Gazoo, Jace Syntax, and Andre Torquato Project, and also a few oldies from the Jazz Twit, Dimitri from Tokyo, and Little Green Men.
Pick of the week has to be Los Hermanos “Central Nervous System” – An absoloutely joyous piece of pure, unfettered Detroit techno with a bright Latin feel. Los Hermanos, with Gerald Mitchell at its core, set out to bring an element of Latin musicality to Detroit techno and the results are uncompromising and outstandingly original. Rather than a Detroit/Latin culture clash, to me it sounds like they pulled off a musical mind meld.
Thanks to everyone who came along to The Shipwrights in Second Life or listened in on Future Music radio.
