New Noise: 4th April 2010 Part 2

New Noise: 4th April 2010 Part 2

About the show

Playing tracks by

Dan Deacon, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Mariachi El Bronx, Three Trapped Tigers, Delorean and more.

This week I lost the tracklist notes I'd made during the show itself and so have had to go back and re-listen to make sure I've collated everything in the correct order.

I know this sounds a bit daft, (mainly because I picked everything I played), but I bloody enjoyed hearing the songs again. I usually find it hard to really lose myself in the music when I'm actually on air. There were the epic driven rhythms of Fuck Buttons and the Crystal Ark, the jagged aural attacks of Three Trapped Tigers and Flying Lotus, deconstructed pop of Ganglians and Dan Deacon, and.. and.. well what I'm getting at is that this isn't just an 'one-trick pony indie music', as someone labelled at us NME Radio earlier this week. In fact I'd estimate that this week's New Noise is more like a slightly odd-looking twenty-two trick pony, with an unkempt mane and unusually irregular stride pattern.

Thanks for listening, if you have.
