Here’s the first of two podcasts I plan to release within five days. A proposal burdened with sheer strapping insanity, I know, but bear with me.
Struggling, as I was, to edit down a pile of 23 solid gold drops of noise at the end of last week I decided that I should accept defeat and double up, and so another podcast should appear by the end of the week (ish).
This first foray into the musical mist includes a Cold Pumas newie, plus pop, rock, filthy dirty hip hop, prog-rock-abstract–techno-inspired funk-afro-metal-industrial-noise, (or as I like to call it: PRATFAMIN), proto-synth soul from 1984 and an opener from a hairy country magpie.
Along the way you’ll also scrunch your nose at muddled musings on the death of Word magazine; the notion of what constitutes ‘challenging’ music; the fallacy of six-month best of lists; and how to go about managing a crippling habit with ever-depleting funds.
