About the show

Playing tracks by

Dam Mantle, King Midas Sound, Perfume Genius, Wild Nothing, Thread Pulls and more.

Having had a week off (equivalent of three months in the modern music world) this week's New Noise plays catch-up and includes a couple of songs which have been knocking around the internet for a short while now; namely that of Glasser's majestic 'Home', Perfume Genius' sparse YouTube bonus 'Your Drum' and Gold Panda's frankly outstanding album taster 'Snow & Taxis'. Only a complete noob would let gems such as these pass by unplayed.

Elsewhere Londoners Not Cool smash up the front end with tasty album cut 'Queens', with the jangles of Jonathan Clancy's A Classic Education and Jack Tatum's Wild Nothing bridging the sub-led drama of Dam Mantle and King Midas Sound rather neatly. I've also chucked in a rumbling tribal groove courtesy of Dublin's Thread Pulls and a twinkling laid back treat from Avi Buffalo's winning debut to celebrate this week's return of Mr Zahner-Isenberg to British shores.

See you at Cargo if you're going. Should be a good week.
