In this sermon we begin our walk through the Philippians, a pastoral letter from the Apostle Paul to the church that he had started 11 years prior. Before we read the letter, we look at its origins, when Paul first got a call from God to go to Philippi and his early encounters there. While in Philippi he was beat up, imprisoned and shared the gospel. Among the early converts are Lydia, her household and a Roman jailer and his household. From this short stay in Philippi the Philippians church was born. In this opening sermon we look at gospel partnerships, our current incompleteness in Christ, how love and knowledge compel one another and our future completeness in Jesus Christ.
