Jesus Changes Everything: Our Neighbors, Our Sanctification

Jesus Changes Everything: Our Neighbors, Our Sanctification

s children many of us ran the neighborhood, and knew all the neighborhood kids. Playing in the streets was our refuge from the perceived tyranny of our parents. As we grow up, what was a place of exploration and refuge, our neighborhoods, have become nameless houses we drive by on the way into our new places of refuge, our homes. As we grow older our relationships with our neighbors become more surface level at best while we retreat into our homes and to television shows with people in make believe 'real relationships'. We see the drama of life, its celebrations, tensions, joy, brokenness, hopes, and fears on the television while real drama, celebrations, tensions, joy, brokenness, hopes and fears play themselves out 20 feet from our kitchen windows. When we do see it, it is often as voyeurs watching 'that family' argue in the front yard again. In this sermon we see two people ask about how to find life, followed up by a question that involves who are neighbors are and how we should be
