On this episode of RadioActive I was joined by Dr. Ashmeet Oberoi, a faculty member from the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Miami. Dr. Oberoi studies the school experience (both as it relates to well-being and academic achievement) of Muslim and immigrant youth who are ‘othered’ within the American school systems. Her research is framed in a way to bring a broader understanding of the experiences of this group of young people and to provide context to these experiences.

During this episode of RadioActive listeners can learn more about how Ashmeet frames and utilizes research for social good, and how this research can challenge and dismantle stereotypes.
