RA - EP.88 - MLK Day Special - Black Scholars Matter with Dr. Dominique Thomas and Allana Zuckerman

RA - EP.88 - MLK Day Special - Black Scholars Matter with Dr. Dominique Thomas and Allana Zuckerman

On this special MLK Day episode of RadioActive I sat down with Dr. Dominique Thomas and Allana Zuckerman to discuss their upcoming special issue of Community Psychology in a Global Perspective where they currently have a call out for papers on Black Lives Matter. From there we discussed how they got here: conversations and conference sessions discussing the need for empirical and narrative research about and with the BLM movement, while digging into the question - Do Black Scholars Matter in Community Psychology. From two emerging scholars, this interview provides both critique and a vision for the future for the role of black scholarship, black scholars and lessons from and catalyzing for black social movements.
