Happy 2014 to the Podomatic cyberdisco community! With this first of the year selection, we're going for a fairly tracked groove driven build with the direction, Some brand new freshness from Phil Gerus with 80's tinged synthy soul settinng up the build into moody and deep with some jazzy percussive inflections, with the 'Differently', 'Changes' and 'Check' tracks toughening up the layers. Whilst the MoonBoots, Drop Lamond and Matt Mason tracks bring an urban edge to the proceedings. The 2 Chymera tracks piggybacked make for a lush organic wind down in a very much 'northern Exposure' feel. Episode mixed Live on Z1 and Traktor ..

Cheers man, m appreciated... Della zouch deffo pushing that tight grooved sound nicely, wanted to capture some 'Pareto' influences.... Must go, those pesky Toucans in the aviary need feeding again :)

Deep Transmissions

Long overdue comment on this one, really like the intro jungle atmosphere and the chunky discofied stylings of the Phil Gerus track. From track 3 it takes on a different direction and a new cohesion and those playful, skittering hi hats on Escape grab you from the get go. Rose Quartz moves things into slightly more proggy territory with that fuzzy, glowering bass. As we'd previously discussed the Inside EP by S!lk has provided both of us with recent favourites, and Differently used here, really moves the mix up a notch, it's a statement track build around a lovely undulating bass groove before dropping into a Finnebassen inspired vocal jam from Princeton rejects which, for me, epitomises the monosonics sound. I really like the VMC dub mix at track 9, it just has something which piques my interest with repeat listens, great production and all about that groove and it couples brilliantly with feelin' high which delivers an captivatingly saccharine vocal. Lovely work mate.

Thanks Man :)

well done. absolutly
