Something Completely Different is a show dedicated to eclecticism in music. Hosted by Henry Warwick, the show runs for two hours Sunday and Tuesday nights starting at 10PM. Because there is no unifying thread of musical style, each show is more of an evocative journey through the emotions and ideas that the songs presented provide. Because the show comes from Ryerson University in Toronto, usually about a third of the titles played can be defined as "Cancon" by the CRTC. Also, in order to satisfy other limitations, both financial and regulatory, for the Scope there is a focus on "special interest music" as defined by the CRTC. The result is a wonderful cornucopia of music that transports the listener through a vast variety of sensations and emotions. So listen to this podcast - it is truly "something completely different."
