Dear Midnight Dread - give thanks for taking time to respond to my question and I do fully understand the difficulties in getting these crucial landmark recordings in a vital period of reggae music out 'pon streets' taking the time and ressources in consideration. As a musical testament it is so importnat to portrait the music that we all love so much - paying tribute to the foundation artist in the music - and that's exactly what your radioshows is all about. So I encourage you to continue this important mission in the future. Hoping you will be able to rise some funding in support of the project. As a music journalist I will do anything to promote you a long the way… ONE LOVE

What a crucial selection 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 is there a part 2 Midnight Dread?

Midnight Dread

Yes. Thanks for asking. That was always the plan. If I ever get enough support or a way to carve out the time to remaster the rest of the programs they will be made available one way or another. Some of the best stuff usually happened later on in the radio shows after what's been posted. About 60-70% of most programs remain to be added. I have already published complete remastered airchecks here of the very first program Sept. 30, 1979 as well as "Larry Mac, Jahmai, & Bay Area Reggae Musicians Midnight Dread #20 May 19th, 1980 KTIM FM" Parts 1 and 2, and the "Bob Marley Memoriam Midnight Dread #71 May 17-18 1981 KTIM Simmer Down To Coming In From The Cold" Parts 1 and 2 from the week Bob passed. Whatever folks can do to help is much appreciated. Time and funds short. I'm the best one to supervise the remastering process which takes about 10 hours per 3 hour program. See show descriptions for more details on how to contribute if one can. I may have to cease working on these in a couple weeks because basic material costs to do this are sorely wanting. Most of these uploads were done 4 years ago after I received major assistance from the Rex Foundation's Ralph Gleason grant. Thanks again for everyone's interest, kind words, and consideration. These were great times for roots reggae music!
