In Colossians 1 we made a clear distinction between a loving heavenly father and condemnation. In Colossians 2, we look at how easy it is to go back to trying to please God with works and how we must make every effort not to drift back into an intuitive works-based thinking. Yes, Christians have been struggling with this for 2000 years ; )
We use the analogy of a giant bookbag that is very heavy and we keep filling it with trying hard. The bookbag is so heavy that it is in danger of breaking Micah's back!
