Lead Pastor Chad Allen turns the corner in the Summer 2015 teaching series "Right With God" as he looks at Romans 12:3-8. This week's message marks a turning point in the book as a change of tone takes place in Paul's letter to the Romans. Continuing the tone change from theology to application, these verses instruct us to act upon the grace God has given us, and humbly use the gifts He's given us to the fullest of the capacity to which He's given them. When a believer is transformed by Jesus they become a vitalized member of the body of Christ and will think soberly, pursue community and use their gifts. In contrast, if they are still conformed to the world they become numb like a part of the body that has fallen asleep. They then are found to be self-centered, individualistic and have no interest in identifying or using their gifts.
